![]() BC states the coilovers come with pre-load set. I did adjust mine some just from previous experience with coilovers on my previous cars. Note* Top locking collars are for adjusting pre-load. Spin the assembly up or down to adjust height and tighten the collar. Remember to put the caliper bracket bolt back in! Tighten everything up, do the best you can for alignment.Īt this point grab your spanner wrenches and loosen the lower locking collar. You will need to use the #5 Alan as you tighten the nuts on the new endlinks. Now get the new endlinks remove the orange plastic covers and put them in place. Push the knuckle into place and slide the strut bolts through. Put the Coilover in and use the retention plate and nut to temporarily hold the coilover in place. If you get new strut mounts as most will make sure you use the BC provided washers not the ones that come with the mount. Now I will say the only usable part of the BC instructions is the assembly diagram. Make sure you are using the correct pieces on the correct side! Note* Coilovers and Endlinks are labeled FR and FL. That being said I didn't need to disassemble the front struts. Note* I knew my strut mounts were shot and bought new Whitelines with the Coilovers. Remove the top nut and pull out the strut. The Strut will be suspended by the upper locking nut. Once brake and ABS lines have been removed from the strut remove the strut bolts. ![]() Remove this with a 10mm to give you more play room to pull the lines off, remember twist the plastic locking collar then pull. Quick tip for removing the brake lines off the strut. You have to pull the upper caliper bracket bolt to remove the lower strut bolt. Grab 22mm socket and 19mm wrench to loosen the strut bolts and nuts. Your going to need a 14mm wrench and socket to loosen up the endlinks from the sway bar. (10mm to hold the shaft while loosening with 24mm) / Mount is collapsed pretty bad Leave a couple threads up there for ease of removal below. So first step is open up your hood, grab your 24mm wrench and 10mm wrench to loosen the top locking nut on retention plate. I re-used all bolts with locktite (I do not recommend this for the lack of common sense I have witnessed).
